About the Society
 
The Third Circuit Historical Society (TCHS) is a tax exempt, not-for-profit charitable and educational organization qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and incorporated in Pennsylvania. The Society's mission is to preserve the rich history of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to increase public awareness of this history.

The Society effectuates policies for preserving all documents, records, objects, and memorabilia which may be of interest to scholars, historians, and the general public. The affairs of the Society are governed by a board of directors and officers elected by the board.
 
Membership Information
 
Membership in TCHS is open to all individuals interested in advancing the Society's mission. Activities of the Society include the presentation of educational programs and exhibits, and the videotaping of judicial oral histories. Members receive invitations to all of the Society's programs and are encouraged to attend.
